if you are outside of the service area and decide to use your cell phone having free long distance.

Question: When will I use my PIN?
Answer: You will be asked to enter your authorization code (your registered phone number + PIN) when placing a call from a number that is NOT
your registered telephone number or when placing a call using your Oratel calling card.

Question: When placing a United States/Canada call, do I have to dial "1" before the area code?

Question: Why is my cell phone provider charging me for INTL. calls when I made the call through Oratel?
Answer: Some cell phone providers e.g. ATT Wireless, allow customers to make INTL calls using their cell phones. When you place a call using your
cell phone, make sure that you do not press the send buttom after dialing the INTL destination. When you do that, the cell phone will do a
conference call and your calls will be placed using the cell phone service and not via Oratel. Below are the steps you should follow when making
calls from your cell phone:

a) Dial Oratel Access number

If you follow the steps above, your call will be connected via Oratel and not via your Wireless Carrier Provider.
